Literacy and Communism are two banks of a river...Which cannt meet...Well this is a good news that the school will be established...But I remember communism says that if the poor uneducated people will be literate then literate people will be free to think ...which is against it.. This is main reason that farmers and labors...are not educated coz they are not provided with the primary education ....and that can reduce the vote bank for the communists...Maoist have the similar thinking..

Most stupid comment! Kelara is first in India to achieve 100% literacy. WB bengal's literacy rate may not be 100%, but it's one among the highest.

your view is devoid of facts. check literacy rates in Russia, china, and all ex-soviet countries on wikipedia it is above 99% because socialism guaranteed free education for all, they spent a substantial part of the GDP on education which reflects on literacy rates

You are absolutely correct. All red nations have 99% literacy rate including russia , but when they finish education and get into the real world of employment what happens?? hmmmm. No job opportunities or maybe Jobs which have a diminishing value of returns due to excessive employment where it is not really needed but socialism forces it. See what happened to countries which harped on Socialism..India nearly went bankrupt due to which we had to open up our markets..Russia Collapsed..China? It would be a shame to call it a socialist republic..It is a pure Communist Anarchy and the best part is even they depend on Capitalist US for their such high growth rate. How many communist or socialist you personally know who will send their kids to Russia/China/Venezuela for higher education? Look at our last 60 years under socialist and communist rule!! Created only bueracracy and red tapism. The people who represented true socialism - Karpoori Thakur,Dadabhai Navroji,J.P. Narayan,M.R. Masani, Achyut Patwardhan, N.C. Goray, Asoka Mehta, M.H. Dantwala, Charles Mascarenhas, C.K.Narayanswami and so many others have long gone ,and so has their legacy.
