He does not ask for votes in the name of religion. But he does not stop asking for votes on the basis of caste. What is the difference ? Why is he so intent on the 69% reservation ? He treats castes as vote banks. Now that there are political parties championing the case of vanniars, nadars, pillais he has turned to thevars and kurubas. If he is such a secular minded person, why does he select candidates for election based on their caste ? Has he not found anyone better suited to be parliamentarians than Stalin, Kanumozhi, Azhagiri and till yesterday Maran ? Please dont talk about his secular credentials. Talk about his dynastic credentials. You will be on a better wicket !
