in india the so called ''thekedars'' of castesism take their thie toll on the trivial matters. as the country is being governed well and progressing well there era no issues. so non issues are being made mountains by these so called caste kings. supreme court should act as watch dog in day to day matters and as OMBUDSMAN of its own ban such issues, so that public peace is not left to large by the caste politicians !!!!!

The main thekedars are the Congress party who has ruled for 55 years, divided the nation into further segments on the basis of castes for their vote bank. They have spoilt the entire nation and caused irrepairable damage to it by making such laws. Nation is moving towards dooms just because of the policies of reservations based on castes instead of economic backwardness.
Mayawati, in her speech in mumbai, said correctly that reservations should be made even in case of economically backward members of the upper castes.

reservations for economically backward? what is that? how can a person qualify for reservations just because his father was poor? May be the father was lazy!! so his son will get a seat and a rich person's son who might have studied would not? Are we giving promotion to laziness? There should be NO reservation at all.. castewise, economywise or at all!! Mayawati played with your sentiments and you accepted it??

I don't think she played with the sentiments because she means it. There is a marked change in her policies and she has now included the upper castes in her party as well as the ministry which was considered impossible before.
The economically backward are not necessarily lazy. They have limitations paying heavy fees, though they have the talent.
However, as far as the admission criteria are concerned, they should be made to appear for the tests meant for all, They should stand in merit. Only their fees should be subsidized.
Also, jobs should too be given on merits and all including the reserved should go through the same processes.

I think there is some mixing of things. Poor = less educational opportunity? What way? If i am intelligent enough, i can get scholarship!! May be not in india, but in some other country!! Many people help the professors and complete the education by that money. I really don't think there should be a reservation on any basis. It is not somebody else's fault that somebody was poor! besides, it is very difficult to decide in india who is poor and who is not. All people who do not submit tax can claim to be poor. Even if they earn in millions. And a person who earns meager salary but pays income tax (however small) like a government employee can not get a seat!
Secondly about mayawati, it's hogwash. She is using all communities and there is no change in her stance. It would be unwise to trust her. There is no change in her activities (same ambedkar statues, changiing names to shahu and others.. and no progress.). She is in fact more dangerous now.

You dumb ass, you have been fortunate enough to be born to a well to do family which could provide you with good basic eduaction. The merit bull shit that you are trying to give would not have had any meaning if you were born in the remote village with no access to clean water and you are deprived of basic amenities and treated less than a human. Reservation only is trying to create a level playing field for the people who have been deprived of their share for 5000 years.
Just learn how US undid its past mistakes through affirmative action for the blacks and ethnic minorites.
People born in the so-called lower castes are not dumb. There are enough people who made it big and living in US and UK. Just providing an opportunity can make all the difference. Besides, its high time the upper castes accept their mistake shed of their arrogance and treat others fairly.
