Birth-based Caste System is 3000 years old connected to Karma theory of Hinduism. This must be rapidly reformed. Otherwise it can lead to social and political instability, in addition to making people of other religions taking advantage to destabilise Hinduism.

Youb have erred in interpreting the Karma theory. The theory propounds that a person doing sins will have to bear it whether in this birth or the next one. It nowhere mentions that a person doing sins will be born as mochi in the next birth!!People who are dalits shuld feel proud in calling themselves dalit, just like sardarjis dont object to offensive jokes, nor do marwadis when anyone miser is referred to as marwadi!!

Dear Raja
This Karma theory is adamently and crudely followed in Christianity which can nakedly be seen in many remote village churches of southern india.
Frankly Hinduisum is the only adaptable religion according to the circumstances. There are no strictures in the scriptures. All the strictures and rules are man made. Infact, as per the sastras, wearing of Metti by man and Mangal Sutra by woman is only an identity of their status. It was converted to a ritual because of male domination that, now both Metti and Thali are worn by woman. There is no Dowry in Shastra. Infact, it is the Groom family who has to pay the Bride family and take care of them in their adversity. It is reverse now - again man made. Let us not blame the religion without knowing the thorough facts.
