Points of View Differ

It is not, as the Chines daily said. The Fact is India needs a huge energy to fuel its economy and to light several millions of its villages that has not yet been connected. And it sees Nuclear Energy as one of the dependable sources. Of course there will be Thermal Plants and Hydro-electric Generations, but their contribution is going to be increasingly restricted in coming decades, due to various reasons.

Though Nuclear energy would not straight away become a major source for our requirements, nonetheless, it seems there are not many ways out. And to get to setup the nuclear reactors we need have to deal with US and there is no other go.

By doing so, if there is a fear in any of the quarters that India is seeking to be a Power Player, be it so.
