Religion has been misused. Some want to be seen as pious for ulterior motives. I have met atheists, who are ever helping others as they do not believe in after life, heaven or hell. Whatever good one can do, do now and do not expect to get anywhere. It is obvious that religion has split humanity. People are strait jacketed and lose power of reasoning.
Recently Mother Theresa's belief in God was questioned. She felt empty and doubted Jesus's existence.
I have seen people obsessed with rituals to a ridiculous extent.There is no harm in any belief as long as you have give and take. There can be only one God, as Miss Universe can get pregnant with even the ugliest. Let us not get carried away with heaven and hell. Where were we, before we were born. Any, recollections? Has anybody seen God? The scriptures we follow are all before modern science made lots of discoveries. God, as we know, has been around for couple of thousand years, but man for million years. Man has invented many Gods. It is a moot point whether God created man, but man has made many Gods.
Misuse of religion is plain ugly. The Bali bombers were promised heaven and seventy two virgins each. Heaven has to work overtime to produce these virgins, so much for the mental state of people brainwashed.
Normally, unknown people are more helpful than one's own family. Same applies to relgious affiliations, from personal experience.

hey, what is your point.u r not clear .just trying to impose your beleifs(or non beliefs).einstein had invented n-power.that does not means every one makes a n-bomb and drops on others.then the world'll be finished in 2 days.when jesus,teresa,gandhi,vivekanand contributed to mankind in the name of god none objected the existance of god.now some people are doing destruction in the name of god, u r objecting HIS existance.about science,it is yet to completely understand human brain,genome that are made by creator(god?).it is still much time left when it will explain god.
