When our father of nation Mahatma Gandhi can get freedom for the seventh largest country in the world without using any firearms. I beleive that it is applicable even today. Let us fight against injustice not with each other. We are INDIANS... JAI HIND.

This is what Gandhi has said about firearms: "Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms, as the blackest." -- Mahatma Gandhi (An Autobiography OR The story of my experiments with truth, by M.K. Gandhi, p.238)
He was a lot smarter than you give him credit for. He recognised that a firearm is more than just a weapon- it's a guarantee of independence. That nation which is well armed can offer resistance even after after it has been overrun, or defend the home from a break-in if need be. As the study suggests- legal ownership of firearms does not cause chaos- some of the most chaotic countries in the world have little to no legal ownership.
