Its not about commies... but about the N-deal
by Seshadri on Aug 28, 2007 03:47 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Guys... open your minds and read it... there are various ways of perception... which demonstrates the various commie-bashing posts in this forum...
Am not in favour of commies... but this deal may provide a back door which may threaten our national interests or tie down our hands substantially in matters of security... moreover, US is aligning itself for a stronger base in Asia... by being benign with both India and pakistan... N-deal to us and economic funds to pak...
Learn to think out of the box also... what would hurt if we had an open debate on the N-deal??? It is true that the facts of the deal are being released - obviously under instructions of the cong high command - now... it is not like you get fuel from US on day 1 and india gets 100% electricity on day 2... there is a gestation period for that too... 5-10 years??? and the electricity generated should be economically feasible...Can india be not self reliant or find alternative sources to meet our energy demands???
The answer to all these questions - both political and scientifical - would be had only through a proper debate... and not by insisting that the deal would profit India...
Dear all... do not think superficially and comment out of the blues...

Commies are right for an entirely wrong reason. They oppose the deal because they hate US and love China. They don't oppose the deal because because it is actually capable of reducing India's strategic military options like nuclear and missile testing.

Life many others like them, communists have not bothered to go deep into the details of the deal. The most erudite analysis of the deal, its effect on indian security environment is available at www.newsinsight.net
