A lot has been written about the details of the agreement. Very few have written about the actual size and impact of this decision. Reports and articles estimate that the agreement will address only 3% of our energy requirements. If that was correct, then aren't we all spending too much time on a trivial aspect of our need? Our power needs are so high, we should rather be looking at technologies which utilize coal as an important ingredient. I understand from the articles elswehere that if we invest a sizeable amount, coal can produce more than 3% of our energy requirements. This is literally a C category item to address. In today's world of globalization I do not think funding and collaborations are difficult. Similarly harnessing wind and solar energy are other avenues to look for. I wish educated experts share views on these aspects.
