Rs 1 Lakh donation from a honest person is worth more than the crores donated by unscruplous people. And this, for a noble cause not even glamorous to attract the tainted money.
But it is a common misconception that India is a poor country. If one cares to follow the news reports about funds allocated for various projects, it becomes clear that much of these remain unutilised. Then there is corruption, siphoning of funds, mismanagement, dealsys and cost escalation. We are poor indeed, not in terms of money though, but VISION.
