This sounds like just an excuse to sack him , I know of many people even non-Indians who fake their cv's worked with some of them. So in todays world faking cv's or "minor adjustments" like this are very common. There must be some other reason behind the scenes who knows.

The reason is he is a bloody terrorist like anyone of that ilk. Bold decision to throw him out. We are the only nation who suffers with terrorists, traitors and taliban.
