Let us understand one thing very very clearly and all of us including our PM Manmohan Singh should not get carried away by some favourable statement made by Mr. ABE during his visit. Of corse, in this case he has been guarded despite being on a stste visit to INDIA.
Japan has a master sitting in Washington, D. C. when it comes to matters nuclear. No Japanese government is going to decide anything favourably or unfavourably unless they get clearance and permission from the U S.
As far as the permanent seat in the U N Security council is concerned, India will never get it. The U S shall not displease the Pakistanis and Chinese under any circumstances

Mick, the US wanted to give the seat to Taiwan Mickey, not India. it was India who supported Red China against the Island Taiwan while the rest of the world followed suit. Dont make me laugh, India in 1960 was nothing.
