This article is written by people who think that wind/solar energy etc can fulfil the electricity demand of India. They don't know that its IMPOSSIBLE (unless they create infrastructure on almost half of the Indian land). Wonder how much money and resources it would require. Also, they talk about US having lots of discussions, whereas Indians having few. Well, India need this energy, and other tech benefits coming along with this deal. So, understand that and then talk. Secondly, they talk about harms of nuclear energy. They don't know that if properly mined and used, nuclear is cleanest. They need to fight for proper mining, instead of complete stop of nuclear energy. Thirdly, they talk about India Pak arms race crap. Well, we need energy and have to work to get it. Why worrying about a stupid neighbour, who anyway will continue arms race. Also, that peace process is an eyewash. Everyday we hear news of intruders in Kashmir and other places in India. So, there is no peace process actually. Why worry about this. If India wants to stand as a strong nation, then Indian citizens needs to shed off such stupid fears from their mind. They need to be strong and confident not to let anyone interfere with their foreign policy; at the same time not fearing about its neighbours while doing such deals.

I think you are absolute wrong! The nuclear power is mosr costly form of energy. But most important point is that it is not a renewable energy and with present usage rate it will be exhausted within next 50 years! it is more puzzling as We ourselves don't have uranium and will be totally dependendent on other countries. European countries have realised that (except France, any case have no option now!)and switching fast onto renewable energy.US have no market in Europe any more so dumping this trash on us. The scientists who have opposed this deal got it right.
