We don't know or nobody knows what lefts wanted from the present situation. They need to keep a check on the so-called communalforces come back into the Indian Politics (forget about once these forces were their most trusted friends in Indian Politics); in another way, they also wants to keep this UPA Govt. to its full term, (See Mr. Jyoti Basu's and other like minded left leaders statement) even though UPA Govt. is planning to go ahead 123 agreement which is as per their words are endagering Indias soverginity and dangerous to accept it. So in once sentenece they are telling that this agreement is not in the national interest and dangerous and still they wants to keep this Govt. and unable to throw out from the administrtion!!! Very strange!!! If they thinks that 123 agreement is against national interest, then their mum and reluctancy to keep this UPA Govt. to rule in minority status (as indicated from other sources) then they are also anti national(who are supporting the policies which are against the national interest knowingly - what else we can call). If leftists are thinking that UPA Govt is deliberately selling this country to USA and 123 agreement is anti national, then as a patriotic citizen or intellectuals group, they should have show the guts to throw out the UPA Govt. by introducing no-confidence motion in Parliament.
