For instance, my comment about "running round like headless chicken looking for a comment here or comment there" was a tactless observation on some of my media friends, and most certainly not with reference to any Hon'ble Member of Parliament.
-------- Does this mean the reporters who are doing their job sincerely are headless chickens to publish something irrelevent. Now he is trying to blame the reporters instead of MP's. This has to be condemned by all. In such a high position he should not make any comments which are derogatory either off the record or on the record.

not now, thats what he meant in his interview. And he is absolutely right. Looks like you don't watch TV News or read news papers.

As soon as you read the interview you can understand that the headless chickens are media reporters and not MP's. But i was just joking that now when such clarification is given then media reporters will fight against this statement and the MP's will be releived.

Go and try to understand his first comments. Semms like many BJP and Left party leaders, Mr Srinivas Sharma also requires some clases of Hinglish. He ment the same thing then and has accepted it now. It was the media people he addressed. anyways, it does not seem irrelevent. They do behave like "headless chicken looking for a comment here or comment there". And beleive me, once they come to know about "the smell of George W Bush", they will cover the news for an entire month.

I have understood it properly. But in India we try to read in between lines for whatever a person occupying a high seat says. Hence our diplomats should be very careful while using some remarks.

I believe him when he says he was referring to the media and not the Honorable MPs as it's the media that seeks the comments and not the MPs ,but ,as a diplomat ,we'd expect him and his remarks to be less careless and derogatory.I guess, the frustration of representing a government supported by a stubborn, shortsighted left, that fails to appreciate the efforts that went into materialize a negotiation of this magnitude ,is getting to him.
