I think Left is making a big mistake. they should have the guts to come clear.
If I were Left I would have said: YES, I AM SUPPORTING CHINA OVER USA. SO WHAT?
If I have one cent of morality left, why would I side with a country directly responsible for the biggest massacre of the decade in Iraq?
One might argue: China invaded us. True.. But, going by the same logic Japan should never side with the US.
One may also argue: that US is pumping money and making us prosperous. Without getting into debate over prosperity, if prosperity over morality holds ground, why not work for Dawood Ibrahim? He will pay more than US IT companies.

Wow, interesting conclusion...so by your standards, we fought with china and pakistan...so should we or should not befriend them?
U idoit, US is not giving us the money, they are giving us (the unemployeed grads of the past) jobs...do U what the unemloyment rate was in 90's... and majority of the jobs are service related and that to for USA customers... what did China give us? and your friend pakistan...differentiate yourself from a street side beggar in terms of thinking...god gave U brain, use it occassionally

Patriot-you are not worthy of any debate.. If US gives you employment, by your own admission, India will never be a Superpower on its own. Even the hookers in the red light district of Bangkok thrive on US money, because most of the clients are Western.. Is Thailand a Superpower? I do not know about you, but I have the fortune of traveling to different countries. And yes, on US money, because the US Corporation that I work for needs me. The way China has progresed is phenomenal, and on its own terms..Even when USSR was there, China was at loggerheads with USSR and thrived on its own.
And finally, as I said if prosperity is in question, we should not have got independence in the first place. Most Indians would agree that we were far better-off under the British rule-better roads, better healthcare, better education.. Then why celebrate Independence Day in the first place? Adore the Queen of United Kingdom.
