I still dont understand what orkut had to do with this. Orkut is not the only place where ppl meet and befriend strangers. You can do that out on the streets as well! I jus think its not about orkut but being careful and wary of ppl in general. Such things can happen to anybody, anywhere. Everybody has got an account on the internet somewhere. If not on orkut, then rediff or yahoo or whatever.You basically need to wary of ppl whereever you meet them. Even if its at your office/college. Thats the bottomline.

I dont agree with you. It is the only place which people can reamain anonymous n unlike other meeting place. this encourages criminal activity in the people with bad intention. children are not exposed to these wolves n easily fall prey. consequently a bad culture , mistrust, criminal activity sets in society and we encourage the same and refuse to take any action against this pretending to intelluctuals. If these can not be checked n If this site could not be used properly must be banned untill such time we get a system in place to make transparent the identities. Asis

c'mon this is not the only site... this way u'll hav 2 ban all the sites & messengers... this is the problem with our mentality...we straightaway start talkin abt the worst & easiest solution..."censorship".... it's just an incident...crimnals will always be there...& they can use any tool...it doesn't mean we'll go back to stone age
