First of all, I thought the Congress's relationship with the Left was a one night stand. Well, it did turn out to be more than that, and now Singh Saab and Soniaji have only themselves to blame for this unholy alliance. Having said that, I would still side with the Communists about the Nuclear deal, not because we are surrounded by Mullas, but simply because I don't like the white guy telling me what I should do and what I shouldn't. Living in the USA, I can understand their "love" for India firsthand. To put it simply, the USA and Americans for that matter, tolerate us as a necessary evil, and what better deal can you get than an obedient necessary evil? We've done fairly well without American supercomputers baking bread for us all these years, and I guess we will keep doing well even in the future. Why this sudden love for India and it's wellbeing? Even if this decision turns out to be a historical blunder, so be it. Afterall, we are at liberty to burst our crakers. America is a nation that lies repeatedly and unconvincingly at that. When Bush found no WMD's in Iraq, Iraq's relationship with Bin Laden became his pursuit. What prevents them from scrapping the deal a year later on some flimsy pretext or the other? If we could make steel when the rest of the world didn't wear clothes, we can make all the nuclear fuel we need whether or not America likes it. And, the sooner we get rid of the Leftist jokers, the better or we will have a Kerala-Bengal-India.

If you don't agree on US Nuclear Deal, then what options do you propose? Do you side with Commies and China? Com'on, Do you know how long our own LCA got delayed, 30 years and still not inducted in IAF. Don't give the crap that we can do it ourselves. Bhaba, Vikram Sarabhai, Abdul Kalam were all trained in US in Dual Use Technology. We can do only if US allows us to study the dual use technology and our institutions collaborate with the US Universities in Research.
