It is very clear that once India signs nuclear deal, India has to be subservient to US in most of the foreign matters. The million dollar question is whether India should choose independent foreign policy or economy of the country and the people.
Nobody will supply India Uranium even the so called ally Russia. Only USA can allow others to supply the fuel. In my opinion, India with its huge population should take nuclear contract with USA and focus on economy rather than nuclear testing and pursuing pro-commie foreign policy

Left does not like India's affinity towards US, they wud like India to have friendship with Cuba and North Korea and cede Indian territories to China. N Ram of Hindu Newspaper, chinese national daily headquartered in Chennai is espousing this.
BJP still thinks that nuclear testing is more important than energy in India. BJP did the right thing when they test nuclear weapons. China had gone far ahead in nuclear technology than India. Will BJP be ready to bet on India developing nuclear reactors with thorium in the next 5 years. If so, I agree with BJP, otherwise, let us go with Sardarji and surrender our independent foreign policy for economic gains.

BJP's stand is very clear. They want a debate in the parliament instead of pushing it thru. They do not like the idea of india giving up the testing of the nuclear weapons.
Only time, US saw tough talkers from India was during BJP rule. Go and read the admiration of Armitage for Jaswant singh. They will talk tough and make sure that the India's testing will not affect the supply of nuclear fuel to India and this point is there in the deal.
