The deal is simple.China wants Arunachal Pradesh.Thay have got 500 nukes and we have got only 50.And we do not have any uranium either.Beijing olympics will conclude in 2008.China can easily attack india and take the whole of arunachal pradesh.What will you do?? Threaten to nuke them?? (1) Also, china will get any amount of uranium w/o any restrictions. (2) Also, china can proliferate to any extent, not only uranium, they get from other countries, but they will send live nuclear bombs to rough nations. (3) They were in the list of nuclar weepon seat w/o any contribution to the world community.

If we get uranium for reactors, our uranium will be freed up for bombs.We can make the same at 100 per year instead of 20 an year.If we do not get any uranium from outside we may not be able to run any more power plants because we must use our scant resources for bombs, not power plants.

Dear, Do you know one reality. Our scientists working on these line in BARC and other DAE institutes are not allowed to publish papers in the journals mentiond by you. I too read a lot about these experts columns. Some says india doen't even have nuclear bombs !!!!

But most US intelligence agency papers put the numbers that way and it is quite logical because india tested a bomb in 1998 and china did in 1964 and no one makes bombs before testing.

For this very reason ,even if attacked you can not use any nukes.You have only one option ,try and defeat them in a conventional war.On this front china is clearly more powerful.

I truly agree that China is numerically superior, however that doesnt translate to victory in war. There are many weapon platforms in India that you guys dont know about and last year chinese russian exercises, russian found them very poor. In korean war 120,000 of them were vaporised on one day. Number is not equal to victory
