If MM had not lied, then he has understood the text, if he had understood the text both in its spirit and content then he had lied to the entire nation. One of those things is obviously true, either way, sonia is in problems cos she has a mission unfulfilled i.e. Italian connection.

I correct. it should read as "then he has not understood the text"
