PM's assurance seems to be a humbug
by Michael Raj on Aug 17, 2007 10:42 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Manmohan Singh has been giving assurances that India has retained the right to test its nuclear weapons. But now the US says that it will act if India conducts any test. We the common people do not undersatand what is going on in India. Is it that the learned Manmohan not understood the 123 agreement properly? or is he trying to expose the security of our country? or is he trying to cover up the mistakes they have committed in signing the deal? or is he a mere rubber stamp?, may be a rubber stamp of a lady named Sonia who has no credibility to be a politician. Just because she was married to a member of a Nehru family, I do not thinh that she possesses the necessary quality to command this kind of respect from politicians. Is there no none in the Congress to mantle the party. It is a shame that an indiginous party is dependant on a lady who has no charisma or leadership qualities, and who is going to plunge the country into trouble. On example is the extradition case of Quotrocchi which has brought shame to the entire nation and its system. Another case could be this nuclear deal. I don not know how many of such deals our mother India has to withstand...????

He is dreaming that everything comes for free, next up India will be forced to sign up for F-16 jets (which are going to be phased out).

Well as of now, US opposes India a seat in UN (which a farce organization), we can achieve a lot
by not having a seat in the security council.

America is the founder of the UN. Because of the Micky Mouse or Rat, we don't argue about America. India deserve a Permanent Seat, but it was denied & the world will know the price for these continual suppression of India by various measures

Are you talking about UN seat of disney world? I was expecting concrete links from you not castles in air like you show in Walt-disney cartoons, Mr. Mikkey.

Jawaharlal Nehru "declined a United States informal offer" to India to "take the permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council" around 1953. Nehru declined the offer about the same time as he turned down "with scorn" John Foster Dulles' support for an Indian Monroe Doctrine. Nehru did so on the beliefs that India should remain a neutral wedge in world politics, becoming the founding member of the Non-aligned Movement.
