Nuclear deal
by arungopal agarwal on Aug 17, 2007 10:40 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Buyer does not have any choice with a monopolistic seller, Nobody other than US and Australia has offerred India N fuel. We are to decide whether we need a N-bomb or energy for our fields and industry. It appears, we are at infant stage of nuclear technology and cannot do any further progress without the assistance of others. There is no use to abuse or curse US, it is for us, we take it or not.

Just give a search in wikipedia "fast breeder reactor" and you will come to know at what stage we are. Best scenario is we need both Nuclear weapons (because as a minimum deterrence as our neighbours cannot be trusted)and we want Nuclear energy for our industrial growth. And there is always an option for those who try to find it.
