The Americans are past masters in the art of double speak and the Indian Govt. is already seeing example of this. They lull you into a false sense of complacency and then pull the rug from under your feet with a fine print exclu- sively favouring them. I fully support Karat when he advises caution to Dr. Singh in rushing in to sign this agreement, with a lame duck US President. The behaviour of Australia is already an indication of the shape of things to come. India should not fritter away its independence of decision making, under any circumstances. It would be a shame if it did. SS Kumar

No they are not lying, in fact its their state department who let the cat out of the bag, its the Indian negotiation party which has been caught lying.
