Whether India signs NPT or not, it cannot explode nuclear devices. Why not India sign NPT, and get all the benefits with UN approval? Only lunatic groups like taliban will indulge in nuclear attacks and this cannot be prevented. Responsible nations will never use A-bombs.

Its not about using N-bombs, its about developing technology for Nuclear weapons without extrnal pressure and influence and for that our scientist definitely will need to test. And in that case this deal will be scrapped.

Who is a responsible nation ? What right Us had to bombard Iraq just on the pretext of WMD, which they never found ? If Iraq really had WMd or Nuclear weapons do you think Us would have dared to invade them ?. So, we need nuclear deterrants, becuase we are living next to roughes like Pakistan, and over ambitious China, who have already eaten big terrotories of India and still claiming Arunachanl Pradesh.. Our Singh is loosing sleep over athe arrest of some terror suspect, he does not have time to think of nation's security..

India was non nuclear atleast upto 1971, what happened? Even USA 7th fleet came to bay of Bengal to blackmail us, the Chinese snached away our territory, Pakis have psychological complex against us.....
Now if we dont sign what can go wrong?? India is too big a market to be ignored even by Americans. Then what makes you to say "no choice"?

Purna I think u believe in the system that if a big bully is asking u to dosomething or asking for moneyetc one should giveup without any resistance and hide in his room so that situation remains peaceful. but fortunately lot of indians are there who will not allow such thing and will fight till the tables are turned again.
