by Joyee Funee on Aug 14, 2007 11:01 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

If India is capable of making N Bomb.
Why it can not make its own N Energy Station ?
We have very hight thorium deposits in South (Indian OCean - near Ram Sethu)
What is hurdling us to go for our own Independant N Energy
It SEEMS Mr. Manmohan is hiding something that we may not have even a N Bomb so this deal is necessary to get atlest N based power station

Our thorium based power reactor are in test stage only. Not into commercial production. Proved one are uranium reactors and we don't have enough uranium. Again it need huge investment and tool and tech. for commercially viable power stations.

Mr. Joyee, why this could not done? and where are we lacking? by this time, you should have an answer. In any deal, both parties gain, unequal deals do not sustain for long. It appears, you are anti US by default. Think in the interest of the country not for communists or oppposition.

I am not Anti US, but u shud learn that US has never done favor to us, most of the time it has used us, It is not supporting India's candidature as Permenant member in UNSC, It did not supported India during war against terror and joined hands with Pakistan and the list is endless
and do u have answer Why US is mum on our Nuclear Test in future ?
It seem u suffer from Inferiority complex from US and so blindly supporting it without evalution
Analysis and Evaluation is the base of any deal we entre into particulary when our soverientiy is at risk

Tapping electrical energy from a nuclear technology is vey much different
from an explosive nuclear bomb or an atomic bomb.
A nuclear reactor generating electricity is huge and also cheap(the cost of electricity ,I mean) but it involves a lot of alloy metal spare parts which India do not possess and it also means newer, latest technologies with highly enriched nuclear fuel etc.,
So an atom bomb is lot easier to manufacture than a nuclear reactor to produce electricity.
