WHY DO WE COMPLAIN ?
by RAJESH DAGA on Aug 11, 2007 02:42 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I have gone through the entire message put on your board. I would like to say as follows:

1. First of all I advise all participants that they should use only decent language.

2. I definitely respect the work of immigration officials at Kolkata who performed their duty.

3. I surely condemn the arrangements made by the parents of the child who did not care about the proper documentation before boarding the flight.

Now my advises are as follows:

1. Immigration officials can allow temporary landing and called all the document to be verified at Embassy at USA originally or else they can call the same by any mode of communication.

2.Immigration officials has already penalised them by showing them that they are not carrying proper documentation.

3. Immigration official should not have done this sort of penalty by deporting them. They should have called any respectable standing person who is known to them from Kolkata for their security or identification.

4. Parent should ensure in future that they should not be casual in this type of matter when you are visiting a foreign country.

With regards to all

Rajesh Kumar Daga

Mr. Rajesh,
I also agree with your view, but if somebody has got the same problem in US Airport, do they allow to enter into their land ? If their is such rules it must be followed, but some leniency should have been shown by airport personnels in case of a child....

So dear... does US follow those advices if a India enters a US after "forgetting" some documentation?

Do they contact Indian embassy and verify bla bla...?

Why do you want India to follow that? First is will you forget a important document and try to enter US and call up the media like rediff there and make empty noises?

Mr. Daga
What you say is fine in thought, but try implementing this in reality! Once they immigration does what u suggested, you will have plenty of parents becoming more relaxed and getting this kind of privelege! At least this particular case will make every one more cautious and double check their documents before they leave! Possibly, the authorities would have taken a lenient view, if the girl had travelled alone! I believe the system should run on a tight leash for smooth, uniform performance.
No hard feelings, mr. Rajesh.

Nobody has time for such cases, humanity matters but immigration officials are already stressed. Besides, DOES A TERRORIST HAVE IT WRITTEN ON THEIR FOREHEAD?

ANYBODY can be a threat to security.
