So far as I know, Musharraf is still the amry chief and the president. What additional factor will an emergency bring into this mess called Pakistan?

Musharraf may use declaration of emergency to bypass the supreme court and his nemesis CJ to appoint himself the president for another five years.

Dear Aman Bhai,
I think Sledgerman did not say anything derogatory about Islam. Islamic Republic of Pakistan does not epitomize islam, we all know that.

Pakistan is a failed state run by a dictator who is sandwitched between the mighty US and radical Islamists. With US backing, even Karzai kicks Musharaff's butt in public and then laughs in Kabul.

But, that's nothing new ... Pakistan has mostly been ruled by a dictator who either gets executed or is mysteriosly killed. Other leaders resort to living in exile with no hope of return ... even Imran Khan once said that he would like to go in politics but only if there was democracy in pakistan.

Such is a sorry state of people of Pakistan
