Why the Heck!
by Aswin Dwarakanath on Aug 09, 2007 10:17 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

US does all these things as they are developed and nothing more to do in their land so spending money on an alien mission. What the Heck has India did on its land. People are starving and without homes . Do this first and then spend on Moon or mars or even neptune.

People like you cried foul when on May 11th 1998 India did nuclear test, people like you told when people do not have food, how can we afford to have nuclear test, how can we afford to have sanctions put on India.

Now in less than 10 years, India is accepted as nuclear state, India got a deal from US, look at our neihgbour pakistan. they have been begging for the similar deal from US.

So stop crying over poverty and all, those who use their brain never remain poor, only lazy buffs remain poor...

so lets work hard to build our nation.. and lets try to go to neptune as well..

US is a developed nation, but it doesn't mean there is no poverty in US. There are millions of poor people here in US. Now, stop being a neo-socialist nut. Eventually, these missions are good for India and it's people. India has one of the best and most ambitious space programs in the world. It will become a very profitable business and generate lots of funds for India, which could be used to help poor.

Being a developed nation and being poor are 2 different things. Poor in developed nation are lazy people. Poor in Developing nations is either Lazy people or unfortunate people. In India we don%u2019t have opportunities for everyone. I agree with Aswin. Manned mission to moon has fewer benefits. It doesn%u2019t attract any additional revenue which can be used by other industries.
