Something behind China softening stand
by indiman on Aug 08, 2007 02:38 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

If China has softened its stand this is certainly not a good deal. This deal does not reflect the stature of India today as the worlds largest democracy, second fastest growing economy, trillion dollar economy, established nuclear weapons power, expert in full fuel cycle for both electricity and weapons development. That is all I can say about this deal. For people who think this is a god deal they just dont know where India is today.

What kind of democracy to we have now? A person with all kinds of criminal cases could become President of the country; culprits who are demolishing/destroying other properties could become Ministers; culprits who massacared hundreds of people could escape from the punishments; criminals who create all kinds of riots/terrorism could enjoy all the freedom instead of getting punished. If we say all these are "Democracy", we should bow our head down with shame. "Second fastest growing economy" - what nonsense is this? there are still thousands of villages which dont have any basic needs like power, water, medical, road, etc; there are thousands of farmers are dieing every year; cost of living is going up to touch the sky; common man cant live peacefully; poor becomes much poor while rich become more rich; if we say all these are meant "fast growing economy", then, we really dont know the meaning of "Economic development". "Trillion dollar economy" - are we talking about all the black money these politicians and businessmen having in their swiss bank account? OR are we talking about all the big shopping malls in the metro cities while forgetting the poor villages around the country? What kind of media hype is this? Hello guys, wake up, dont live in the dreams, India mean not only Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Bangalore alone; think about all those rural areas which still are not yet developed and way behind 20-30years still.
