It is bad to hurt anybody's feelings.But unluckily ,most of Muslims never cared.Your co-religionists destroyed Lord Budha's Statue,which was 2000 year old in Afganistan,much before Christianity or Islam came into being to salvage the souls on the day of judgement.If for nothing else,Lord's statue should have been preserved by you as s symbol of national heritage,because,1400 years back you were Buddhists or Hindus.You should not have dishonoured and disgraced your great great grand fathers.you should have been faithful to them.Man who cannot be faithful to his forefathers or religion of his forefather can not be expected to be faithful to his present countries and religion.you destoyed and desecrated thousands of idols,religious books of your Hindu forefathrs. My uncle(chachaji) was converted to Islam to save his life at the time of partition in 1947( he was being murdered along with his family) and stayed in Pakistan.His children must be staunch muslim now.You also got converted due to one compulsion or other or to save yourself from Jajiya Tax,because you or we all were not Guru Teg Bahadur,or his grand children who refused to convert to Islam,sacrificed their lives.

Very much appreciate your civility in arguing, unlike many others on this board...
Going by your argument definitely we need to respect parents, fore fathers etc..
Fully agree with you, religous symbols and sentiments are not to played with. If I do respect my faith and belief, I will respect the others too...
However, what is confusing to my thoughts - did god send an idol of himself when he created man on this earth... Can it be my fore fathers are wrong... I need not be wrong too... Do we live generations of wrongs...

Why does God to be beyond his creation? That is your way of distancing yourself from him. Just like the essence of father and mother is in the child. God lives in all of us. We are all his manifestations. Including the evil ones.

parents creats childrean and definetly, the genes of the parents is found in the off spring..science have shown that. the same way god has created the universe and each and every matter including humans and non- living thing contain the essence of god... aham brahmasmi...means each and every matter in the universe has the Gods essence.
it's not fair to classify things and hate some and say its haram...good and bad is always there...but never cry aloud and preach wrong.
islam says alcohol is haram or sleeping with a stranger woman is haram or even dealing with interest on money is haram..but could any muslim tell that 100% of muslims follow this rule? or how many % follow this rules? very few..the modern world need modern laws...not the 7th century nomadic law.

Ayoban, yes,as per us every thing is extention of god.I donot think that all religions tell the same thing.Hindu religion(Vedas,Upinasads) say "..thus when a human being sees all the living beings in PARABRAHAMA,PURUSHOTAM PARMATAMAA(meaning God)and vice-versa(sees all pervading God only in all the creatures),how can he/she hate any one?He/She always sees his God everywhere,in every creature and creation,all the time and therefore bows before them(creation), respects them and serves them" Islam and Christianity does not command or advises its followers to see god in Kafars(So far muslims have not declared that Hindus of India are not kafars).Their religious books do not see even all human beings as equals.Infact Quran orders its followers not to befriend a Jews or a Christian and kill the kafirs wherever and whenever possible
