Vamsee Juluri - you being a Associate Professor in a well known in the US should feel to write such an article. I am shocked beyond words you want to compare Sanjay Dutt with the father of our nation. Did Mahatma Gandhi procure Guns and Granades to protect himself vigilante style? I believe the article is a load of bull... and the bottomline is Sanjay Dutt is a terrorist who was on the side of the anti-nationals. No matter how many good films he makes, he will not be able to erase his past.
I would be very curious if you can repeat the same antics Sunjay Dutt did and when US authorities catch you, I would keenly watch the results. Dare to try....?

I read the entire article again and did not find any such comparison.
The author describes Sunjay Dutt aa a"celebrity to revive a passion for Mahatma Gandhi in this country should be locked away"". But this is not comapring Sunjay with Gandhiji.
You have either not read the article, or your are hallucinating.
