Incomplete analysis
by Shailesh S on Aug 05, 2007 03:41 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

The conclusions border on incomplete analysis and is a bit hypocritical. Sanjay did the mistake and let him pay for it. It was not a small error. If you had lost somebody due to this action, then I bet your analysis would take an 180 degree turn. Regarding gandhian values, every fighter glorified or not by the media and history texts are great. It is every value that led to the freedom of india not just gandhian values and i like violence as much as i do non-violence. Non-violent values is good with one's dear friends but do you think it will work with one's enemies? or say terrorists? Thats reality. The topic of bringing every criminal to books is entirely different. I agree no matter whom, he/she should be given punishment. There should be secret agencies who do that in case the law doesnt do it! And this agency can look at justice per se rather than with the rules book.

Sanjay dutt didnt write, direct, script, edit or produced munnabhai. He was given a chance to work in it and he did. He wasn't instrumental in bringing gandhian values to public. If it would have been given to salman, would salman become a righteous person???

I agree completely with you.
The credit should go to the Director Hirani for creating such a beautifull piece of work.

Sanjay was a good actor. And should not be pardoned because he did a fabulous job.

If he needs to be pardoned, then may be judiciary and legislatives should consider the circumastances in which he picked uo gun. And the kind of social work he has been doing in all thses years.

If Docoits of Chambal could be pardoned then Sanjay too can be pardoned.

But not for acting as a Munna Bhai in a movie.
