I don't know whether rediff gives us the complete picture in the article, but judging by what is there to read, it looks like Obama has very little knowledge of ground realities. Musharraf is his (and probably India's) best bet in his fight against terrorism. God help India if Pakistan were to fall into the hands of fundamentalists (muslim or otherwise). Afghanistan used to be a lovely place before it fell to Muslim fundamentalists. Now Pakistan is facing the heat of Afghanistan's problems. If the US were to get more involved in Pakistan, then we can definitely expect a lot of future hassles in India, like it or not. It might be a lopsided way of looking at things, but the present Pakistan administration is a perfect buffer for India, as far as fundamentalists are concerned, as it is still more or less secular (inspite of being a dictatorship). Just my 2 cents worth...

well.. i really dont think Obama intents to overthrow Musharraf.. he never said he will attack pakistan..he said he will attack terrorists camps in pakistan. There is a huge diffrence between the two.
