Now the Bangalore police are jumping on the bandwagon
by Miharika on Aug 01, 2007 12:37 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

The Bangalore police are now harassing Haneef based on an Australian politicians remarks. The Australian prosecution authorities would never have dropped the charges against Haneef if they felt there was any substance in the politicians allegations. This material was first available to the prosecutors, before being passed on to the politician. Since when have a politicians views usurped the legal opinion of a prosecution authority ? But then why should the B'lore police miss out a chance to extort money from Haneef, so as not to 'harass' him?

Saudi Arabia

Culture of brutality

''I told my investigators... 'What crime do you have against me?'... Their answer was nothing else but beating me... They tied my hands behind my back, then they shackled my legs, then tied my hands to my feet. After, they pulled me flat on the ground and then they started
beating me. This was their answer.''
