Recently, a chancellor advised students not to study Sanskrit at university level, as it would only make the Pujarees. If this psyche is nurtured among students, then Sanskrit would soon become all Greek to Indians. We may then lose our roots from the vedic civilization--established as the oldest in the world. Vedic maths is also best for computor adoption, and so our people are shining in computor software. Moreover, Sanskrit is the only living ancient language being widely practised daily as the holy vedic mantras, which are a vehicle to link our mind to soul/atma, which is direct link between living-beings and Parmatma/God Almighty. Our policies should be such that in future, we may not feel the necessity learning Sanskrit from foreigners as we started doing it for Yoga. Long live Sanskrit and our sanskriti. Very true... I hope some people are interested in it and study it of their own accord. Definitely, it should not be forced in the curriculum though! If Indians are enlightened and take the stand that none of them need it, so be it!
