Every political party in India had its share of luck in the game of musical chairs for Parliament. And none proved the better. Where my home state, Assam, is concerned, the adamant claim of the ruling Congress that there is no illegal Bangladeshi here brings frustrating tears to every genuine citizen. Every nook and corner is filled with them, they have totally altered our demography and economy, and shocking of all, they have also formed a political party that has won a sizable chunk of last Assembly. When we protest, we are killed in the name of ULFA-after all, vote bank talks louder than the true voice of the soil. And please, do not be surprised if we have an illegal Bangladeshi as our next CM. But what do we do now? I think we need a dictator and the INDIAN ARMY is the best bet. It may have its drawbacks, but it is a lesser evil. Lets give it a chance. Otherwise, can we think of a better option? I guess not. In the worst scenario, we may have a Saddam Hussian, but thats much better than the spineless politicians we suffer daily in the name of democracy.
