The mellow tone of Pak Prez indicates he is clearly on the defensive. India has already given him many chances to redeem himself and his place in history of the land of his birth. Each time he proved to be undeserving. It is surely not easy to steer Pakistan during this difficult times, and Indians can almost sympathise with him, for they understand him better as no none else can. There are still kilometers to go before his Presidency ends and in the subcontinental context one hopes it would be a happy and glorious ending.

Pak Prez does not care India. He cares only US and mulla countries. He is passing very hard time with US pressure and local fanatics%u2019 population. At this time he does not want to take one more problem on head - INDIA. Don%u2019t believe that Pak Prez is happy or sad with India. It's up to US who makes him happy or sad.

Yes, the pressures on Pakistan on terror aspect is very severe. The internal threats of terror makes it very difficult for them. The mellow tone also comes in the context of recent Kashmir talk in India which was boycotted by separatists. The present Pak govt is the first one to concur with Indian request to keeping Kashmir issue primarily bilateral only. India surely also has strong interests atleast not to aggravate the very difficult transition to civil democracy in Pakistan, even if it can not play the role of a facilitator and protector as it had done in Nepal which looks more and more like a durable success.

Pak Prez is not an individual, it is a role with great responsibility. In this era of nuclear neighbourhood, once the ambience of copperation is extended, it makes sense to reciprocate to reduce unwarranted risks and extend the zone of cooperation. Pak surely have a long way to go before they become really friendly and cooperative to India. Be it dismatling terror structures, or whittle their ISI, or give MFN to India. Even the basics have not been done yet. If deep down in their heart the trust blooms that in difficult situations India will not let them down, then instead of 1000 years of war, as some of their leaders promised, there would be endurable peace. Not yet though!
