SC is more likely to abolish Quota Raj
by Ramesh Nittoor on Apr 27, 2007 06:20 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

"Regretfully, the Supreme Court decision has at best delayed the inevitable, " - Mr. Ram Kelkar......There is a good chance that in the light of the deep social divides Quota is likely to cause, probably far bigger than Mandal fallouts, and further alienation of middle classes from political structure, thereby having a long term deep security impact as the very idea of nationalism would get redefined for the younger generation, SC may adjudicate in favour of quota annulment. The premises for quota are based on weak foundation of discriminatory development. The investments required for addressing social equity are far greater and need different kinds of platform including adult education, universal literacy, scholarship etc and at the same time not compromise the values of excellence and equality. What is more worrisome is the adverse impact it would have against Hindu Dharma. These are deep issues which may be serving the political objectives of DMK, Communists, and Caste based parties, but sadly turn Constitution into a divisive instrument.

I appeal to Aryasamajis to become little bit aggressive. Aryasamaj is not about doing Havans and opening DAV colleges.-Hold demonstartion before Hindu temples worshipping monkey (Hanuman was not monkey but a Yogi) and elephant gods, Challenge orthodox Hindus for religious debates as Dayanand did in his life time, Confront orthodox Hindu priests, Take the message of Dayanand to the masses, Get rid of birth based Caste system, Superstitions and Idol worship. Let every Hindu come back to the true Vedic Religion. If we do not do this then this Hindu society will be destroyed and torn into pieces. Make sure that no one worships in these so called Hindu temples. Probably we can use our ancient temples as tourist attractions--like ancient Greek temples.

Go back to Vedas!

Sanjeev

PS: Baba Ramdevji is also Aryasamaji and he is already doing a great job by taking the message of Mahrarishi to masses.
