hey guys..i dont know anything about the indo-us nuke deal..can someone explain me what this deal is all about??from the start to till date what r the proceedings..how will india benifit?etc..

In 1974 after Pokharan-1, US and its allies sponsered NSG, a quasi-legal agency of nations, to deny all advance technologies to India and other nations daring to follow the footsteps of India. Earlier China and USSR were not part of this grouping. Later, to escape denial regime, they also joined as N-have nations. India seeks entry into this club to modernise its N-plants, invite private sector participation, get reliable access to n-fuels. USA is acting as a gate keeper cum facilitator. Initial agreement between US Prez and Indian PM, now appears to be more and more like classic American 'bait and switch' strategy to constraint India to same terms as applicable to a non-nuclear NPT signatory.
