Fine let US play God then. US can do anything they want, but are bound by the consequences of their own action. India will be bound by its own also. Let's see after a few years, where our two mega/giga democracies have taken us... Very interesting indeed this India-US paradox.

Its in India's interest to toe the US line...India needs US business..all those years of kowtowing to Russia has brought India down to its heels...the Nuke deal dont mean much..get into US good books first..Its only the US that has the guts to take action against terrorists.
There is a limit to toe US line. India will never surrender its right to conduct N-test, or loose control over N-fuel cycle, or allow US to intrude its Military Nuclear programme.
Whoever does it will be thrown out from power within hours.
US do NOT take actions against terrorists. When it gets hurt, it takes action. Otherwise, it allows terrorism to continue as seen from Pakistan.
India is world's 3rd largest economy (PPP) now. And Its US's interest to get into India's good book for its own economic interest.

Mr Chattopadhya its high time u see facts..please remember the customer is always more important than the service provider..US can go to a number of emerging countries for all the service it gets from India...and 3rd largest economy or not India has to go a looooooonngggggggggggggg way ... lets do some Math....pick ANY 3 companies from the Dow Jones Industrial index (eg Microsoft, GE, GM )..add up their capitals and lo & behold its bigger than India's budget & Fgn currency reserves.. !!!!!

It can be equally said that it is India that allows terrorism to grow because it does nothing...even Bangladeshi Islamic radicals wreck havoc in India...the WBengal govt lets madressahs to spawn....try these things in US and you will see wat happens...

Its only India that did something abt terrorists in Pak and elsewhere. It got Pakis to catch terrorists like bin el Shibh thru Khalid sheik Mohammad..what did India do? diddly. That guy who was let lose from Kashmir was seen giving bhashan in Karachi the next day..India dont do nothing..Indians hv vry little stomach to even confront terrorists..The US on the other hand has seen no terror attackes since 911..on the other hand cartoon jihadists wreck havoc from London thru Delhi...

US nuclear business companies are also eager to exploit India, so they critizise US policy also from sometimes, i.e. after the 1998 sanctions on India. Don't forget India has been dealing with terrorism since middle ages, both in Islamic form and LTTE in Ceylon. That's why it took this terror so long to reach the West. Also there's nothing great in first sponsoring terror (USCIA aid to binLaden in 80's) and then trying to cover it up by launching war against terror, mostly in media only. What others do, is not always reported in Media, but doesn't mean there aren't any non-American heroes, they just don't show off, and nobody hears of them much.
