While venturing into this agreement, the discerning Indians were fully aware of the risks and pitfalls involved. The developments from US side and the worldview of many of their Senators and Congressmen and the efforts of their non-proliferaion lobbies with weak intellectual integrity and double-speak were all known. However, the opportunity cost of not making this deal for both nations is also much too high. The impasse in the deal probably makes US side realise that they grossly underestimated Indians. Any clever effort to undermine the credibility of Indian leadership by shifting blame on them is not going to succeed. The animal instincts of India acumen includes those of Rhinos as well.
