because we are not aggressive...we are always cowards, not willing to tame the lion instead, we hide...see the muslims, they feel proud of wearing teh cap, sporting beard etc..where as if a pujari goes out with tilak on his head and sacred thread visible, we give nasty comments..we in teh sense our own hindus...we dont take pride in wat we are..

He man, we are not coward. We are proud to be hindus. The only thing is we are more tolerant than others. Our religion, our vedas do not allow us to spread blood unnecessarily. But they do allow us to pick SHASTRA when it is absolutely necessary. Ramayana & Mahabharata is the finest example. First we explore all peaceful means to resolve and if not successful fix the problem from root.
