let us change our attitude
by utkal jitendra sanghavi on Apr 19, 2007 03:28 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

most of the people in this forum are coming down heavily on alistair periera and want him to be punished heavily.

I agree what he has done is entirely wrong and he should be punished. but wat punishment court has given him ( 6 months ) is i feel truly justified. He did not wish to kill anyone purposefully. It was an accident and we must remember teenagers make mistakes. By putting him behind prison for 6-7 years and spending his youth with hardcore criminals is def not going make him a better person.

Instead give him 6 month prison and ask him to do compulsory social service for a certain period of time, as courts generally do in usa. There's a slight possibility that it might make him a better person.

that's a wise thought. Pity they don't have such social service punishments in India. At least one could compensate and feel better..

If your thoughts are implemented in India then each and every teenager/youngster will drink and drive and kill severals, cos he will be sure that at the amx he will be behind the bars for only 6 months.

hohohohoh, if we dont hang this guy, then there will be no more accidents right, according to you,

see u should never eat pigshit.

atleast by hanging this guy, we r one step closer to eliminating this menace. it will put fear in guys who drink and drive.

Hi Utkal
Its pathethic you justify this 6 months punishment.Alistair caused death to 7 labourers and what about the others maimed for life.He deserves a life sentence.

What you call 'Accident'and 'Mistake' but you dont mention the fact he was drunk and therefore the punishment should be more severe.

hello mr. utkal,
let us do one thing, u sleep on the pavement tonight, and i shall mistakingly drive on your stupid head and the next day shall accept that i was drunk while driving. then let us see if your family asks for the same kind punishment as u have suggested.

u got angry just by reading this right, just IMAGINE how the families of those dead guys would have felt. u care for yourself, and pray to GOD from today onwards, because u shall meet your end like them too and no one will fight for your untimely death.
