It is niether severity of Punishment to the criminal nor the compensation one is paid to the deceased that matters to the society;but the right judgement at the right time is all that matters and our society demands it.
People with Money power, in all segment of our society claims that they can "buy" judgements (with due respect to the Court and Judiciary) in thier favour; and our society is the victim of this flaw.
Mr. Alistar's case is only a tip of ice-berg, in this process of criminalization of our ethical, moral and legal standards.

The funniest part is our system does not prohibit him from driving vehicles.
No one has asked him, whether he has liquor license to consume? and does the party organizer has license to serve liquor?
SO we will have many occasion to utter 'History Repeats'
