Shame on us
by on Apr 18, 2007 09:15 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

It is really shame on indians to go and work serve in another country rather then India and get killed. It is happening with Doctors in UK and shortly it will happen with Engineers in US.

I think you are one of those losers who tried and didnt get it thru...! Do not blame anybody on just your experience.

Its good that you are getting a job because some percentage of people had moved to other places in search of jobs. We do not have enough jobs for all the people in India and this is not an issue at all to discus in this post. Here we are grieving for a loss of life and maybe discuss about how we can make this whole world much more safe place to live in.

Rediff is full of 2 kinds of visitors: the winners who never bothered to go abroad and made a successful career in the motherland, and the losers who tried and failed to go the US and dont miss a chance to show the US in bad light. You need to be in the US for at least a month to appreciate the quality of life.

Don't ordinary people get murdered in India? This week, I got to know on Rediff that some 16-year-old cancer patient got raped in Tata Hospital in Mumbai. I am in the US for 17 years, and can say that overall security is not a concern here. The probability of this happening is quite low.

U mean probability of happening rape is low?? yes because there the culture is free sex..and it starts at the age of 10 and is done even in schools...classes...in front of fellow students.. great culture..

Hope we Indians do no copy that too.

Please let me open your eyes by saying that worst tragedies have happened in India in which so many innocent lives have gone, most recently the Mumbai local train blasts and other such horrid cases, so getting killed in US is a much rarer case then getting killed here in India! Thats for sure...and just for a thought,US has a much casual policy on guns and we have these rare shootouts may once or twice in 5 years, just imagine what would happen if the Indian govt. would have had the same casual gun policy?!...
