Malkit winning the Trueman scholarship
by Shridhar Iyer on Apr 17, 2007 02:35 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

They know how to appreciate and value merit without other considerations. Good that she is a country which values and appreciates 'merit'.

Had she been in India, you know somebody may be with lesser merit than her, would have been chosen for the scholarship, based on 'reservations/quotas'/influence/push from higherups, etc. We will truely progress only when we get rid of all these 'speed breakers'

With best wishes,

Srinivasan.
