calculated democracy

Dear Yogesh, R Patil,

I am sure you understand and can make your friends also understand, If i am snatching something from some one, i should be punished. there is no need for rationalising such an act. reservation was granted by Dr Ambedkar to dalits, as per our constitution, only for 10 years, but now it seems, it may go on for hundreds of years and may add many more castes (almost all the castes) into its ambit.

why have the reservations been increasing since independence.

that means, till the time of independence, attrocities commited had been limited to sc and st only, but now, in these 60 years fresh attocities have have been commited on aditional castes and now reservations are being extended to other additional castes, obcs, etc and to sc / st also. so, it means attocities are increasing in free india. do you really think so. otherwise why more and more reservations now, after 60 years.

where is it going to end.

Caste calculations have become the basis of Indian democracy. votes of samajwadi party & rjd are calculated on the basis of muslims and yadavs in their respective states. bsp on dalits and now brahmins. all the parties are banking on some or the other castes / religion, in their own regions.

why are UP and Bihar not developing, because of caste politics. By reservations we taking our country hundreds of years backwards. we are bringing the ills of caste system back in india again. and this is only creating a rift between the various castes.

May be, if Dr Ambedkar would not have reserved seats for sc and st probably they would have been in the mainstream today and may have been seen with honour in india today, by their sirnames, rather than by sc / st, which have become derogatory words today.

today media has become so free and advanced, specially in free countries like india, any one can make a phone call to a pvt news channel and even a small story of attrocity (justified or not) is flashed on news channels all over the country. even attrocity commited on terrorist by police donot go unnoticed. i dont know the history of kairlanji episode. i think nobody knows who killed them. it was enmity, or motive, or something else, nobody knows. ideally there should be no murders. but many murders are also taking place in the northeast, of the baniyas, who have gone there to work. In UP and Bihar there are regular fights between the armies of different castes (irrespective of upper orlower castes), who kill each other on petty issues. who is responsible for all this division and hatred and lives lost. is it our caste based democracy.

we are here to make india a peacefull and developed country or to divide it on the basis of castes, just to exploit them as and when required.

Hi yogesh and bharat
By the way dont get disheartened because as soon as the govt is forced to intoduced creamy layer concept these every strong reservationist will become very vocal anti-reservationist and not even remain neutral in just one go rest assured.

Afterall we all including creamy layer want upliftment of "backward caste" but not at our own expense.

It is very Pity and Sorry that Brahmin is also reaching on the position of schedule caste. But Quota is the problem and neccessity of the Govt. If it is scraped the most of the SC/ST/OBC will embrass Christianity or Islam, where there is no discrition in the name of caste color and creed all human are equal in these religion. So Keeping them in Hiduism it is vital to continue reservation for ever.
