this webpage wil clear all the doubts of everybody. reservation is implemented to uplift the socially and educationally backward classes.it is not for the economically baclward classes.there are other programmes to remove poverty.a person who may be rich is not necessarily socially or educationally forward. that is the problem being addressed here.bear in mind that the obcs constitute 500 million people.

do you have data regarding the number of obcs (500 mill). does Indian census give obc & general data. i could not find in ther website.
