When will we bringdown the legacy
by Shridhar Venkat Iyer on Apr 15, 2007 03:41 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Gandhi had not tried to foster his off-spirings into politics. Great and really patriotic leaders like Rajaji, Sastri, Kamaraj, Namboodripad, Nijalingappa, R.Venkatraman, etc. have not made any such attempts.

Its painful to see the Nehru family continues to rule the country, like the earlier Maharajas, Similarly in T.Nadu also, the CM, being very old, is trying very hard to foster his son, and now his daughter to gain control of the CM seat. People who have questioned about this, were systematically sidelined, example Nedunzhian, Vaiko, Nanjil Manoharan, etc. Even the present CM, who was only PWD Minister when Anna died, managed to hold CM's chair, inspite of everyone's favourite Mr.Nedunzehian. Senior leaders both at the Centre and in the State were simply watching and never raises an eyebrow, simply because of losing their existing power. The Amethi constituency is treated as though it is their family's kingdom.

I pray to God that people should think rationally, and vote based on the merit of each candidate, and not based on family heritage. That day will be the Golden Day in indian politics.

With best wishes,

Srinivasan.

Just log to :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swaraj( Read ( After Gandhi)

Is this the reason why Mahatma Gandhi got shot, and Indra Ghazi Khan played a foul play and cooked up the story to snatch Gandhi surname ??

This party should have been banned after independance by Mahatma Gandhi Itself
